That is the Organisation of my Band

In a week and a day we play a gig where the band is unknown, the name posted is wrong, we don't know where(except roughly), we don't know the time, we don't know the other bands. However, I know it is for the festival of Hosta Franca in Barcelona on the 29th of September, and that my band, Cobalt, will play for 45 minutes a set list that ranges from a dirty angry teenage-angst powerchord track, through chromatic tunes on to mad-assed 10 minute electronic psychadelic songs. I am nervous as fuck cos it is so hard to organise but I can't wait. I dunno whether to invite everyone or no-one. I want to invite no-one.

Over the last few weeks, aside from drinking and staying out all night, I have been rehearsing pretty much every night. The Merce festival starts in Barcelona tomorrow and I intend to go see some bands and then Saturday I have a recording, Monday a rehearsal with the full band, Wednesday they rehearse and I record with a Mexican boy, Thursday a full band rehearsal and Friday the gig. That leaves me Sunday to rehearse with the new bassist, and Tuesday to practice for the recording on Wednesday....

I also have to think at least about getting together a website, a myspace for the band, our demo CD, and what we are going to do without the bassist for the month....
